Description
- Maintains regulatory compliance with governmental regulations on health and safety.
- Conforms the standards set by applicable regulations.
- Conducts routine inspections of facilities for compliance with company and government regulations.
- Prepares reports for submission to supervisors and management, which identify the potential hazard(s) and or department discrepancies found, and provides recommendations for control and compliance.
- Advises employees, supervisors, and management on safe work practices and potential hazards.
- Leads and assists plant personnel with safety and health issues.
- Investigates and resolves employee health/safety issues.
- Implements effective training to assist line and staff management in understanding safety regulations and procedures
- Ensures proper inspection and maintenance of fire protection equipment and emergency response activities.
- Represents company during property protection inspections by insurance carrier and responsible for addressing deficiencies noted.
- Conducts accident investigations
- Participate in meeting, workshops, and conferences to keep abreast of emerging safety, health, and environmental issues.
JOB REQUIREMENT
1. Education
- Required: Four Year Degree in Health and Safety or related applied science field
- Preferred: Masters Degree in Safety and Health or applied science field
2. Experience
3 - 5 years Health and Safety or related field
3. Knowledge of:
- Proficient in the operation of personal computer (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Chinese governmental regulations on health and work safety requirements.
- First aid and CPR
4. Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in the application of government health and safety regulations
- Effective supervisory skills
- Good PC Software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Excellent presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the company
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Available to work a variable schedule
