Lead QC lab team to test the physical performance, function performance, and other inner character of raw materials, ensure the raw material purchased into Wanek meets the quality requirement.
The Product Electrical Engineer will provide input into the continuous improvement, product quality improvement activities and production processes, as well as internationally on all electrical and electronic components of the product line. This position will review current quality information, investigate potential points of concern, recommend solutions, and assist within implementation activities. The individual will create engineering and quality-related documentation, perform product quality auditing activities, collect process and product characterization data, and provide quality focused feedback, guidance, and recommendations.
The Product Electrical Engineer is responsible for organizing the specification and requirements of the directed work and its associated results. This position works closely with others such as internal and externals, production quality solving and vendor quality management. This position works with PUR, Engineering, Product Quality and Continuous Improvement personnel, as well as quality improvement representatives residing within Ashley’s Furniture’s global supply base.
Job description
- Verify Inline Power components system to ensure all the groups were meeting with the Law requirements. (eg.: UL/FCC/SAA/CCC….)
- Working with US Engineering and Regulatory team to ensure all the Standards were up-to-dated.
- Working with supplier sampling the inline parts for regular monthly/quarterly/yearly test in 3rd party and US labs.
- Knowledge of power system lab testing requirements like: Temperature test, leakage test, Voltage test etc.
- Developing internal lot by lot testing needs, play a critical role across sourcing and Ashley on best practices.
- Audit Electronic components in supplier for each shipment to ensure the correct quality according to SOP.
- Closely working with US Lab and US Electronic components engineering specialist to help vendor solve the technical problem found during production.
- Help supplier to set up a team which can work well with Ashley for stable quality requirements.
- Send weekly report to direct manager and having a regular meeting to share the working experience with the quality control team.
- Assistance in delivery schedule to support PUR and Development team.
- Being UL Certified is a plus and will become a requirement.
Requirements
Will in charge of quality maintance and performance verification in several electronic components’ supplier.
- Education: Above 4 years’ experience in electronic components quality control area.
- English Level: Able to communicate with US engineer in English.
- Education Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in relative major is preferred. Knowledge of Electronic components manufacture. Relative raw material knowledge regarding upholstery furniture Electronics is a plus
