Open PositionThe Inventory Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role plays a critical part in the financial accuracy of inventory valuation and supports operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management & Reconciliation:
• Maintain accurate and timely inventory records in the accounting system
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations between physical counts and system records
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and adjustments
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare monthly inventory reports and variance analysis
• Support month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Assist with internal and external audits related to inventory
3. Process Improvement & Compliance:
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory accuracy
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with Procurement, Warehousing, and Operations teams from US
• Provide inventory data and analysis to management as needed
• Support other accounting and finance projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably with inventory or cost accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
